Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 6, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how GatePilot (“GatePilot,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the GatePilot iOS app and related services.

GatePilot is a planning assistant that estimates when to leave for the airport based on flight details, starting point, travel time, security wait estimates, and arrival preferences. GatePilot provides planning estimates and is not affiliated with airlines, airports, TSA, Apple, RevenueCat, rideshare providers, or other third-party travel providers.

Summary: You can use GatePilot without creating an account. Location access is optional. You may enter Home, Work, or Other Address manually instead of sharing your current location.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

Depending on how you use GatePilot, we may collect or process:

Location information

Location access is optional. If you choose Current Location, GatePilot may request your device location while you are using the app to estimate travel time from your current location to the airport. You can also use GatePilot without granting location access by entering a starting address manually.

Current location is used to calculate travel time and is not stored after the calculation unless you separately save a starting address, such as Home or Work.

Calendar information

If you choose to allow calendar access, GatePilot may read calendar event information to help detect upcoming flight events. Calendar access is optional and is used only to support flight detection and trip planning features.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, GatePilot may send trip reminders, leave-time alerts, and other app-functionality notifications related to your flights and airport departure plan. You can change notification permissions in iOS Settings.

Purchase and subscription information

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card number or payment instrument details.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, purchase status, and Pro entitlements. RevenueCat may process app user identifiers, purchase history, subscription status, entitlement status, and diagnostic information needed to provide, manage, and restore purchases.

Device and diagnostic information

We may process limited technical information needed to operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the app, such as app version, device type, operating system version, crash or diagnostic information, and subscription or entitlement status. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
